Now you know he's not going to take the racks or the plastic junk vegetable bin or any other of the plastic crapola bins and clean.
The used the elbow grease on the sludge that was heated in on the exterior of the frig.
Then he did a wipe down of the inside
It took him longer to get the supplies than it did to do the work.
He said you are still going to have to clean the refrigerator.
I smiled and said thank you.
Yes indeed. I unplugged the refrigerator. I wiped it down with lysol wipes time: 1.5 hours
I steamed it for five minutes in entirety and wiped down 30 minutes.
It still smelled gross and bugs were still coming out of it. I kid you not. I took iphone pictures of some this.
Then I sprayed anywhere 99% of the bacteria should be cleaned. It stopped smelling. 5 minutes
I rest my case. Unhygienic!
I let that stay there for an hour and then wiped it dry to make sure there wasn't any excess..
I plugged in the refrigerator. Within about 3 hours I heard that familiar loud sound of the other one. Water was dripping from the freezer to refrigerator. I wiped it down. I checked back later and the back of the refrigerator part is lightly frosty.
A friend is coming over to look at this. The freezer part was defrosted. This refrigerator had been unplugged well over 24 hours. It could be residual??
Certainly wasn't due to any liquid that I put in there.
Total time a little over 2 hours and not sure if I have a working refrigerator.
In my last apartment where I resided two years I never had a problem with the refrigerator. They said it was new and it looked to be. I noticed however throughout the years that that developer/landlord was always washing out stoves and refrigerators.
I can now appreciate that aspect because this landlord does nothing. I spent five hours cleaning the stove when I moved here. I spent 5 hours cleaning the refrigerator. I spent 5 hours cleaning the bathroom. I spent two hours cleaning the one window. I spent about 8 hours cleaning the closet as it smells like what I now know to be bed bugs. Yesterday for the first time I put these home depot plastic bins in my closet. I had put painters tape on the floor of the closet and to seal in the baseboards.
It smelled like bed bugs in there. Where is another #1 place bed bugs will hide. In loose and unrepaired door framework. Yes sir, the landlords never came to fix that. Even when I asked that they do that again after 7 months of their promise before they would be doing their 5 minute bed bug infestaton removal.
I feel that those bins will be okay. I put painters tape to seal the holes that are part of that product.
I'm trying to get my apartment back to somewhat the way it was.
