Parking it at the Pinetum

Today it was 73 degrees and sunny outside in Upper East Side, Manhatta, New York City.

The Musician "non-resident" had already started practicing at 1pm. As usual I must choose a) be annihilated by their chords for the next six hours or leave my apartment for habitability elsewhere. Yep, once again kicked out of my apartment.

Today's host was the Ross Arthur Pinetum in Central Park, created in 1971. I parked myself there for the next three hours. Actually I walked the circle of pines and took study stops along the benches.

Lots of new pups receiving quality play time with their owners. I always see some remarkable game actions. One couple was playing with their new pup suddenly it realized the ball had dropped from its mouth some moments ago. The utter dismay clouded the happy puppy who did a side-scurry in perfect straight line backwards to exactly where the ball was yards away. I noticed the owners put it on its leash thereafter.

The Pinetum is a miniature pine forest in Central Park (425 plus, including 27 species in 4-acres).

"On December 3, 2006, the Contemplation Circle, which was given in honor of Arthur Ross, was dedicated inside the Pinetum. Conservancy craftsmen and gardeners created the Contemplation Circle by building rustic benches and railings and installing new plantings, including five Mugo Pines and a Chinese Elm 'Central park Splendor,' as well as coralberry, winter jasmine and forthergilla. Vinca minor was added for ground cover, as well as a selection of daffodils and scilla."

When I returned home the musician was now playing their radio show full blast and my apartment was filled with visible smoke and smell from the charcoal hamburgers of the neighbor below. Nice. P buckos In my mail box was the yearly report for the coop from which I rent. Nice to know they spent nothing on repairs.
