Clearly they did not read the first paragraphs.
After holding the correspondence for 3 weeks they then send it on to a representative who I will never hear from. Oh yes, if I call them up they'll listen and say I'm sorry. Wish we could do something but really we would have to do that for everyone and we can't. Then they promise to get you an appointment in the office with someone who can help you, promise to call back.
Ah ha! still waiting after 9 months.
I would not waste my time. I just wanted to prove what I have been saying about Chuck all along. He does not know his constituency at all. He only knows photo-ops of color and who his best campaign contributors are.
The City and Medicaid is a bad mix. The city hospitals are no more than thieves in the night giving their highest regards to bullet holes in patients. The city info croc number you call to check upon why its been a year and no reply to your Medicaid application just gives you information and they can do nothing for you.
I have a broken foot and it was suppose to get some care when Medicaid cut me off pre-renewal. Their excuse is that I did not renew. Why? Because they did not send the renewal even when I called them three times about it. Totally inept system. This is why I wrote to Chuck. The federal government is the overseer of the plan. Its called Healthcare Reform. Actually in reality it means how can we give our financial backers, the insurance providers everything they want, mo' money and less care.

I went to a highly inept earned benefits center and reapplied a few weeks ago. They told me eight weeks. Well if indeed my foot does break off before then and I have to go to a hospital, please don't blame me when I don't pay the bill. I am still dealing with the loser Lenox Hill Hospital. Over three months ago their hospital advocate called me to say that I was not to be billed for a chest xray. It had been their mistake. To just send all papers to them. A few days ago I sent a bill collector's papers to them and still no answer. I called them up. They said we will review the papers and make a decision. We'll look at them on Monday and call you on Wednesday. I said excuse me. Over three months ago you gave a decision. Oh well we will look them over. FYI that chest xray had been prescribed and certified in the system by my physician. so what the F is their problem.
So far I have not been further harassed by the other Lenox Hill re mammogram. It was I who had to go into all the facets of their bureaucracy and set things straight. The manager of my plan was incapable. It took me over three months. What a F'n bunch of losers.
Now tell me again why did I apply for Medicaid and fight for it for six months? I needed my medical evidence for a court case enlarged upon. Was I entitled? Absolutely F'n yes. Let's see now I pay my Rent $1200 at the time, I pay full MTA fares, I pay for my food and I pay my utility bills. What's missing here? I have $0 income. Buckos :P
