From my IA file #2

update: alas I have received two other emails telling me that since I did not answer their email within 30 minutes they are closing the issue. I wrote back you will suffer the consequences if you do that. I just completed my letters to the district attorneys.

update: we appear to have a breakthrough at least for the most recent damage. LOL like my landlord one damage at a time. good because I don't have time to do the big file thing. Though its on the list. Its going to get done.

For years Ipower has been torturing me.

I assume they have quite a few victims.

I live in New York and unfortunately their company is in Massachusetts.

That means for every time they post a charge on my credit card I would have to deal with two attorney generals.

They have stolen $700 from me in the past six years.

I have pleaded with them through email and on the phone.

I have a 3" binder with all their email correspondence. They always say things like you were on autorenew so therefore you are not entitled to a refund. You needed to give us 30 days notice prior to the renewal. Sorry you are not entitled.

No the problem with IPOWER is that I have not done business with them for six years. They refuse to accept my requests to desist billing me. I have gone through their most inept system and put all domains on manual with a security code. They keep billing me when I least expect it. I've looked and they were messing with domains I have with another service. They are parking on that service. Each time they say I am on auto renew and need to put in a security code. You lose they say.

Well I think I'm calling them on this. I've dug up their state's attorney general and mine and they are getting a fax on monday with a timetable of the abusive correspondence.

There are two hosting companies I do business with and they are honest. I have never had either of those hosting companies tell me a domain that I have on manual is otherwise. I've never been billed for something I have not ordered.

Because the states involved are very weak for helping the small business, the individual, its unlikely they'll do a thing for me. It will take an incredible amount of time to get these jokers the jail sentence they deserve. I don't want to do it. However, I think, you know you might just clean up the sewer on the internet a bit.

hmm we shall see. I'm not spending any money or time on this. The internet is loaded with testimonials from other small businesses and individuals that indeed ipower is a cutthroat business that victimizes people who were once customers but left them because yeah you are stealing from our credit cards.

I did not want to be forced to change my credit card for these fools. I also think it hurts your credit. I think I'll do it. It takes an incredible amount of time, its not simple.

If you want to save yourself a lot of time and money don't do business with them.
