Who knew that our full super returned from an illness? There has been no announcement.
He claims his phone number is on our entry wall.
He was taking care of something in a neighbor's apartment so I asked why has my toilet and refrigerator never worked and I have lived here since May 2009 and repetitively asked both in writing and in person?
He said he did not know. This is the same fellow who told me over the phone that the apartment had been cleaned and the apartment was ready to move in. The broker had told me the same info the day before. If you cannot trust them then who can you trust? Upon moving in the apartment had not been cleaned one stitch probably for years and there were more problems caused by rebuilding a wall and not caulking it.
The super says he's coming to fix the radiator, toilet and frig at 8AM on Monday.
Well if not I will be calling HPD every hour, on the hour until it is done.
When these few habitability items are completed we will be in court and wrap up all of the outstanding issues and the subsequent damages of their neglect and how the city allowed it.
I spoke with the neighbor. Remember the guy who owns the barking dog? He owns my apartment. I have been telling him about the toilet and he has been replying to just go around the corner for a part. There is no around the corner for a part. He is the one who has accused me of hammering and scraping floor when obviously no such activity has occurred. I own no scraper or hammer. Later he would say it was construction outside or the person above me. Well he knew that already, he was harassing me.
The management, including its agents and shareholders, are running a scam at 430 East 87th Street, New York, NY. What the property manager and the large unit owner do is get people in here and then push them out and keep their security deposit. The unit owners talks like he's their best friend advising the victim to leave and burn the property owner. The advice is ridiculous, I didn't believe, how could anyone. This building does have a large turnover rate.
Today's events served as another fine example to take to court. The lady next door is being harassed about her dog and I believe there is no justification for that. That dog does not bark. If it runs up and down on a bare floor there is justification because the lease requires carpeting. They want her to put carpeting on her floor. P-l-ease this a building has a history of confirmed spider beetles, bed bugs and large roaches. I think carpeting would be a very bad idea for her as that would extend those varmints to my apartment. She does walk in heels because I hear her, why not just change to floppies? At any rate the people above clomp at unearthly hours in their heels and move heavy things and scrape to boot and I don't hear them being harassed.
The woman next door told me that the guy downstairs has a history of harassing tenants. Watch out its a scam and the broker, Citihabits plays a knowing part in it.
Funny though the guy downstairs is the biggest nuisance in this building with his dog barking as much as 4 hours a day. I have kept a diary of it. The musician next door is equally or worse a nuisance. They conduct commercial music activities in their apartment and their "practice" is done at unreasonable hours and period of time.
The woman next door is not a nuisance. We both have to put up with the bully downstair's dog and kids and his booming voice. I told her keep me in the know because I am a witness.

It is hours after the super said since they turned down the furnace downstairs that the temperatures should go down.
They are idiots. Do you know how much energy they wasted and the carbon monoxide the spewed in all the apartments? If I flush the toilet 6-8 times each time I use it how much water have I used?
I have done my due diligence, informing HPD, informing the landlord, asking the supers, informing this large shareholder. They are in the wrong and my evidence speaks clearly in court. Tomorrow I am adding a sound monitor hooked up to my laptop to my court evidence. Already I have air reports. I have additionally documented my exhibits with detailed pictures, diaries and correspondence. There is no way they can win. I will win and be vindicated from the real slumlord in the City. :P
