The Sexiest "Louis Vuitton" I Ever Did Hear

Oh, I so would have loved to have had my camera at lunchtime today.

I was on Canal Street walking my way up to New York State Civil Court.

All along the way from Eighth Avenue to Lafayette, Canal Street was crowded; no news there.

However, there was a difference, things had changed. Its as if there was a choreographed ad viralizing on the street. People were moving up to me and whispering "Louis Vuitton." As I sashayed myself eastward I heard the sexiest "Louis Vuitton" I'll probably ever hear in the NYC.

While some may think a fake Louis Vuitton is to the brand's disadvantage, today's performance proves otherwise. Every minute of everyday offers subliminal branding on Canal Street; the street that never sleeps on bargains in luxury's world capital, New York City.

No Milk for bad behavior

Its about time. Points for Got Milk? campaign.

===>No Milk<=====

In 2003
Nuttella began to "phase out" Kobe Bryant for bad behavior and in 2007 people were still associating him with the product. See Caddywampus Cafe. While it might not have been big bucks for Kobe, Nutella was a childhood favorite of his while growing up in Italy.

Never underestimate the value of a haircut in NYC

Ok so I twittered my haircut and doesn't it look fabulous up there on the map?

====>Isn't it lovely <===

My stylist did a great job while also passing on a handful of inspirations. The ones I liked the most? Facebook is a place to find bartending jobs (yes, me) and Myspace is a great place to find S_c_e_t concerts. Yeah, you feel in the blanks.

Investing in Better Memories -- your thinking is the only Stimulus that Counts

"Marketers can convince consumers that buying their product is actually a farsighted behavior, in that sense, consumers are investing in future memories."--Keinan

Over at Strive on with Diligence, "Joy, Pain, Sunshine, Rain" puts the consumer back in the driver seat with how to customize your frames for your mental pictures.

Hopefully bankers and politicians will reframe some of their own pictures accordingly and we can all get back to stimulating our life.

MoMA Displays Installation of Reproductions at Atlantic Avenue/Pacific Street Subway Station

Are celebrity and icons equal?

Would you have to post your obamaicon on all the social networking venues to reach celebrity?

Having reached celebrity would you have icon status?

Even then would it be enough for you, icon status?

What if you found out, after a lifetime of trying for it, that rock bottom is where celebrity is?

At least 5 kinds of people make New York City great

New York City Transit activists...
"With service cuts looming, community activists mobilize"

People who Lego it...
"I Lego NY"

People who want to figure it out...
Solarz and Ferrisi set the record

People who pay $80 million to be the boss of it...
"Mayor Plans an $80 million campaign."

Passionate partners, the people of New York City...
"What Makes NYC Great?"

How much does it cost to be poor in New York City?

We'll probably never really know.

There are so many deals cut in New York City for the "impoverished". Housing that does not require real estate taxes yet earns incredible profits all in the name of welfare. Tenants roommating out rooms with no accountability or taxation again at incredible unreported profits. Landlords receiving special tax rebates and tax deductions when they are not held accountable to uninhabitable housing.

Who are the truly poor?

Some people in East New York pay $1200 a month for a studio while their next door neighbor pays $100 a month for the same 350 sq ft of drek. The same is true in Washington Heights and Hell's Kitchen.

If someone who makes $10 an hour has two children and receives food stamps, free medical care and subsidized housing of $100 a month aren't they richer than someone who makes $29,000 a year and pays $1200 a month with no health care or food stamps and other subsidies for their "minimal" living standard?

According to Trying to Live on $500,000 a Year in this Town (New York City), you just can't fit in on that amount. Yet these misfits' very lifestyle corrodes the lifestyle of the lower classes. It is their cars that dish out the pollution and take space and money away from public transportation. Their private schools and doctors insure that public schools and public clinics will be substandard. Their fitting in standards make sure that everyone else doesn't get a chance at even a substandard living. Their charity reeks as they dish out stolen money to those they think deserving it. Their special rights belong to a monarchy not a democracy.

According to NCCP Measuring Poverty in the United States
"Across the country, families typically need an income of at least twice the official poverty level ($42,400 for a family of four) to meet basic needs. In high-cost cities such as New York, it may take an income of over three times the poverty level to make ends meet, whereas in some rural areas, the figure may be under double the poverty level."

Today I discovered Yahoo! Glue

While Yahoo! Glue is still in beta, its been out since at least May 2008. Where was I? Definitely not sniffing glue.

I still predict that Yahoo! Glue will be the next big internet thing. Why? Because it puts things together for people in a nudging sort of way. Yes, I discovered Nudge also while sniffing Glue!

Cass Susstein is the OIRA administrator and the author of "Nudge." "Nudge" being the book that casts libertarianism in with "choice architecture" (see: "Designing better choices".) I can't believe a libertarian would agree to that.

401K plan is mentioned as good nudging by the government in the past. Reality will tell you that 401K never took off because it was a bad choice. A choice that nudged an employee to put good money after bad. Bad being the only choices for 401K investment were nontransparent and nonregulated stock market funds. Not all the tax benefits in the world are going to bring back the 10s of thousands of dollars nudged into these plans, dollars that would still be safe in a bank savings account even without the "tax benefit". If our government had been so paternal we would have had tax benefit for putting savings in our banks. Even more fatherly acts of our dear gov would allow people to keep $5,000 of savings in the bank without taxation or mandatory hookup with an insurance company for a lifetime of healthcare provision. No, soft father, is not a good father.

Yep you can keep your choice architecture Obama and Friends. People in the U.S.A. do know what is good for themselves and they do not need to be nudged down the Rabbit Hole by a soft father.
