Bloomberg Calls for Free Crosstown Buses
Yeah, because the people getting on for the most part, have monthly passes, the buses aren't going to lose money, they are going to gain money by being faster. People who would take a cab will enter into the MTA system and that will be helping the traffic congestion. Taxi drivers can always get trained at WorkForce1 for CDL ;) and become bus drivers.
If Bloomberg puts some meat on this kind of thinking, he has my vote.
