One thing for sure in all these apartments I get to know my neighbors.
They always have the scoop and the stories.
Tonight one told me that a guy had bug bombed his apartment after becoming disgusted with a two month plus delay by these landlords in dealing with a bed bug infestation in his apartment. When he did this it scattered the bed bugs throughout the building.
hmmmm
Last week a neighbor told me that the front two apartments on my floor had bed bugs and the occupants moved out as a result. My apartment was vacated because the guy was getting married. I laughed now that girl is getting a piece of work, who would leave an apartment so disgustingly awful filthy! It took me three days to clean, I documented the whole thing. When you move in to an apartment you want to experience joy not disgust. When I saw the apartment I thought the place was just worn and old, the building was built in 1901, but no, that was filth. Honestly I just wanted to get so far away from the ghetto, so I was going to take old if I had to. There are so many things going on when you look at an apartment, ok next time checklist please and a flashlight, and if I need a flashlight, its definitely not the right apartment for me.
Someone told me that if the previous occupant of an apartment leaves to get married that you'll be next. Oh great, that's all I need.
Anyway the real scoop of the day was that the bed bug removal company is not going to steam the whole apartment. No this is the junior package, they will steam the crevices of the floor and walls and ceilings. That is why they need to poison us with this bed bug insecticide.
I watched this video on the web and I think they are right on.
Effectiveness of structural heat treatment

Another effective invention is a bait box that has carbon dioxide and heat, buh bye bed bug but potential harm to the baiter. That's science. The only thing bed bugs are interested in are blood, carbon dioxide and some heat, not too much.
Diatomaceous soil is very good for terminating a bed bug's time on the bug hitlist. Its probably the cheapest and surest and safest solution, so why don't these landlords do it? http://www.bedbugsguide.com/diatomaceous-soil.htm
