I saw Mark Green on the street and said we would like to have a public advocate who actually does something, will you be the one? He replied we try to do the best we can.
Well that isn't going to work. Just trying to put up a law against tenant blacklisting isn't going to help the people who are being harassed and threatened everyday, not only by eviction and breach of lease, but by oppressive amounts of cigarette smoke and bed bugs. 30 days is a sociopath's remedy, when you are getting 100 to 500 bites a day and you are doing all you can to prevent it, please let's get real here.
I was in Invite Health store because my eyes started flashing ever since the first pesticide guy came, grey to black film covers them and these sort of bug like things in my vision. I looked it up and 50 years and up get them, sign of disease or damage.
The guy gives me a new york state senator that might help me. That's good because I had not contacted her. My own two city councilpeople ignored and lipserviced me respectively. They do it to everyone, they do not do anything for people who are not showing their largesse at campaign time (which is all the time).
I already listed these landlords on bedbugger site. I have to check if there address was taken down. I'll keep putting it up.
If anyone wants the names of these landlords and their phone numbers and addressses just comment to this post. They will be going up on Twitter on the hour sometime next week. I've already posted it on facebook; the response was glad we don't live in NYC and that would really piss them off. Someone said oh New York City is doing things, I set them straight on that, that's talk, they just talk their silly heads off and do nothing.
A tenant talked to the exterminators, their plan is to steam just the baseboards and seams of the apartment. So if those places have cracks and holes in them then what is the point? That they will use pesticides all over the apartment. They expect us to keep buying pesticides and steri-fabs (hello my couch is leather) and canister vacuum bags and glue kits. They expect us to do all the work. That's not going to happen, sorry. I did not create this situation and I am a rental tenant. I have been living with all my things in plastic boxes for well over a month, all of my belongings elsewise are in plastic garbage bags. My little tiny $1100 a month apartment looks not better than the homeless ghetto on 87th and 2nd.
This city is junk, I've lived here for 35 years and it has never been like this, where every bit of housing is a coop managed by inept sociopathic monsters. Sociopathic? Yes my last landlady said she was there to just show up, she said I just want you to be happy all the time and then she said because I complained about the cigarette smoke several times that I had caused her to have a breakdown. Her sister had made big profits as a slumlord housing more than five people in the apartment (they were addicts supported by city) and she profited. So at $1200 a month she wasn't making enough and she said she was paying my rent. She threatened me in a letter that she submitted to the landlord as exhibit in the federally filed HUD case. There is no lie she won't tell. She signed a waiver on the New York Taxation coop form for fire alarms stating she installed one. She did not. I checked with the taxation department and they have no enforcing arm and yes, she did not submit any proof that she had installed. See how they work it? She submitted a letter to me in a u.s. postal service envelope turned inside out and used with fedex service and her company's postage. Get it, nothing she won't do.
Did anyone think that a person has a life and tons to do, that we do not rent an apartment so we can live with the Devil. We rent it so we can have a peaceful place to go to, a place to sleep. Not a place to face the holocaust. They tortured me just as if for two years. The city lost a great artist who was teaching underprivileged children, they lost great works and they lost a productive citizen. Basically the City just shitted me out into the toilet, had I done anything wrong, no sirree, the city just decided that if you report more than $0 a year or make less than $200,000 a year it just plain didn't want you. You know no announcements, warnings, they just started their purge on behalf of the ugly greedy citizens who had the dough. Yes the same ones who give to Africa over and over again while torturing the human beings who live in their city. The sleep at night after taking addictive sleeping pills, poor, poor souls.
These bugs are not nocturnal and they are very agressive its not just the feet or shoulders, they go for your eyes, your face, your neck and your privates. Its a misery that no human being or animal should go through. I am certain that I am going through a severe case of infestation because of the actions that my landlord took or did not take. They lied about bed bugs 4 months ago, then after the pesticide guy came and scattered further they withheld the info from us. Only three weeks later warning people not to use insecticide bombs in their apartments. Then ignoring my request to do something immediately. The letter followed 4 days of silence from them after their bed bug beagle report of my unit found infested. They took another 7 days and ignored my letter and stated I had bed bug beagles in my apartment and I had to spend a whole lot of money to get rid of them. Then 4 days later they sent a flyer giving an appointment less than 2 days later. I replied instantly that they had obligations to meet before doing their project. They acknowledged and ignored it. There fumigator did not show up. Then more than a week followed and they send me an email stating that they will force entry and charge me for it. I immediately let them know that they have keys to this place and I was here for the appointment, any damage they do they will charge themselves. They ignore my letter. Then another week later they email me, put a flyer on my door stating they have an appointment on the 27th at 10am and failure to provide entry will be a breach of the lease. I immediately email them about the two issues that are supported by New York City law and they ignore. I receive a letter form of their flyer in the mail.
Like I said come Monday these guys have reaped a living hell for themselves as well as those slugs hopelessly sucking their clients in a civil court case they have no chance of winning no matter how many judges they own. Fun is over guys.
